"If This Be Gun Reasoning: A Case for More Mass Shootings in America" by Patti Henry

There's a simple correlation between most mass shooters
in America: Predominantly white, angry, frustrated fellas
who just felt like they weren't being listened to or respected.

It's always some random, petty foolishness like:
*Some girl wouldn't go out with them
*Somebody fired them because they're an asshole
*Their life is boring and they need a change-up
*All that ammo sitting around unused is such a waste

But here's what you never see in America, by design:
You never see a truly disenfranchised person getting a
bunch of guns to vocie a legitimate grievance. Because
if the formerly passive victims (who otherwise for sure
know their place) were to suddenly rise up and arm
themselves, there would be one other significant change
in the M.O.; No more randomness.

When this started happening previously, TPTB put
an end to it quickly. They know a threat to 'business
as usual' when they see one. But good ideas don't die.
See, white people who get gun-mad to take out their
frustrations just go to the path of least resistance.
They shoot up strangers in public, just trying to maim
or kill as many living creatures as they can. They want to
share their burden of pain--to take away what they perceive
as everyone else's happiness (which comes from not living
their life.)

Even when they do target a specific place they
consider the origin of their pain, like a workplace where
they were fired, they end up killing the secretary that was
always nice to them, the woman they had a crush on, their
best work-buddy that kept him from getting fired as long
as he possibly could.

It's just a bunch of misguided, directionless, scatter-shot
(if you will) bullshit that serves no purpose.
Because if the people with a real ax to grind start killing
en masse, we'd see a very different demographic being hit.

Put a gun in the hand of every transvestite person,
transsexual, and drag queen, and hate crimes
will go down dramatically.
We'd see a major slaughter of corrupt cops who have
beaten and falsely arrested (and planted evidence on and
shot and killed) innocent people of color.

We'd see rapists and child molesters (also rapists,
by the way) being hanged in front of city hall,
either as a group or serial killer
style--slowly but surely.

There would be an attack on the walls of Congress so
bloody that they would never be able to reopen due
to the depth of the carnage rendered there.

See, these are people who harm and destroy on the
regular. And we somehow have tacitly agreed to be okay
with that--or at least subservient to their whims.
But on the day of reckoning, all that would change.
Which is exactly why those in power work so hard to
keep the guns in what they consider 'the right hands.'

None of the power elite care about mass shootings
or random poor people or Vegas strip partiers.
It isn't them or theirs being assaulted, so
why would they give a fuck about the unwashed
masses?
You must have one to get the other, and you
especially need plenty of either one to get away
with using them. The more deadly you are, the
more you can get away with in America.
But if the sick and dying, or grieving parents and
spouses, were to arm themselves fully and make an
attack on the heads of insurance companies at
a big corporate retreat? Whooo-ee, child, there would be
a come-to-Jesus meetin' about guns.

If all the trodden-upon gays and lesbians and trans-
gender folks--if all their surviving friends and family
members and partners--decided to bring justice
against the churches that have created true suffering
in untold lives with their vicious teachings and
indifference? The government really would start
coming into your homes and taking your guns.

If a white supremacy gathering where the extinction of
other so-called races of people (look it up--there's only
one race!) were to be savaged by a group made up of
various people-of-color? Using the very assault rifles
the Nazis proudly carry to intimidate others (and serve
as adult-pacifiers?) There would be a new segregation
that involved putting fences up around mostly-black
neighborhoods and dropping other black folks off there.

See, the problem isn't with mass shootings.
The problem is that the wrong people are getting the guns
and the wrong people are dying. So let's change that!
Be prepared, The next time you see cops drawing
down on an unarmed teenager, handle your
business. You know no one else will. (Court system?!?
Oh, you got jokes, eh!)
When that man shot up the Republican basketball game,
Americans didn't really give a rat's ass, because this was
people who create harm and death for women, children,
and minorities on the daily getting their comeuppance.
It was Karmic Justice. It's rare, it's beautiful--but
because we know 'our' government is watching us,
most people know better than to applaud it in public.

But in that uniquely well-intentioned, politically-directed
Del Ray shooting in June of this year, you will notice
that the reaction from the people in power was fast,
furious, outraged, and shocked. This sort of thing 'just
doesn't happen' to folks like them! Why? Because they take
pains to insulate themselves and keep armed guards
around and not be around the 'kind' of folks they
imagine pose a threat to them.

But this buffer that exists--this sense of inherent safety
by virtue of the privileged truly believing that they are
untouchable--it's pure fantasy. It's a staged construct
designed to portray them as more significant than they
are, and to reinforce that perception of invulnerability
in the minds of the people that they rule over mercilessly.

We're currently a society where the Haves have convinced
the rest of us to follow their ridiculous double-standard;
That they can do what they want without restriction, and
the disenfranchised can't even be upset and protest it free
from more of the same shitty treatment that was visited
upon them to start. Certainly there is no acceptance of
reciprocal action, of divine retribution, or justice.
It simply is not 'allowed.'
"Compliance for you; Freedom for Me."
It's the unspoken contract in America.
Baseball. Apple pie. Jesus. Shame.
Greed. And Guns. They're the all-American
tenets, but until now they've not been
accessible for everyone. Gun Equality NOW.
If the paradigm ever shifts in this country, where the
downtrodden and the maligned focus their righteous
anger and dissatisfaction into an effective, laser-sharp
focus of taking care of the true problems that face them?
Look out.

Because the marginalized have long memories.
The economic terrorism that has been perpetrated
by big business is not lost on them. They know it's
the Waltons to blame, not the manager at the
local Wal-Mart. The profiteering drug manufacturers in
Big-Pharma are responsible for the deaths of their
kids and grand-kids. ICE gleefully ripped their families
apart without provocation and with malice.
A giant orange clown has destroyed Puerto Rico.

Yes, the decent people of the world know who to target.
And when they finally overcome their trepidation that
has been conditioned into them over the years, we will
see the next glorious evolution in this country's love affair
with the gun. And it's hard to stop a revolution that is
happening in a thousand cities at once, unannounced
and well-planned.

This is a country where guns are available, affordable,
effective, and beloved. Using them to release frustrations
is just part and parcel of the American Experience.
All things being equal under the law, it's time to let
everyone have a crack at the great American pass-time;
killing as many people as possible without regard
for law or repercussions--with a purpose.
